SHOOTER''S BRACE OF COLT BISLEY MODEL REVOLVERS COLT 2 SAA BISLEY 203076, 228495 44 WCF, 38 WCF MODERN; C&R Gun 1) Cal. 44 WCF. 4 3/4" bbl. Blue and case colored finish. Checkered hard rubber grips with Colt medallions. Serial numbers match on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Ejector rod head is a replacement. All markings standard for this model. Left grip is scratched "ET KING 1903" on inside. Gun 2)Cal. 38 WCF. 5 1/2" bbl. Blue and case colored finish. Checkered hard rubber grips with Colt medallions. Serial numbers match on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Grips have no number but are scratched "HENRY S." Inside left grip. All markings standard for this revolver. PROVENANCE: The Dr. Robert G. Cox Estate Collection. CONDITION: Gun 1) Good. Revolver shows a re-blued finish overall that has turned dark brown and has drifted to silver-gray on the ejector rod housing, trigger guard, and backstrap. Hammer and trigger are gray-brown patina. Front sight is full-sized. Two-line bbl address is sharp. Other bbl markings are sharp. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Grips are good with high point wear and some marring on top left side. Action works well. Gun 2) Good. Bbl and ejector rod housing are a gray-brown patina overall with slight traces of blue in protected areas. Front sight has been trimmed. Bbl markings are sharp. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Ejector rod head is missing and replaced with a small pin. Frame screws are replacements. Trigger guard and backstrap are a plum-brown patina with traces of blue around trigger guard and hammer. Grips are very good with some small mars and dents, no chips and sharp medallions.
