SECOND GENERATION COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER WITH TWO PIECE STAGHORN GRIPS. COLT 2ND GEN 33299SA 357 MAG MODERN; C&R Cal .357 MAG, 5-1/2" bbl, blue and case color finish, 2-pc Staghorn grips. Bbl has 1-line address on top and Colt SAA cal mark on left side. Low profile front sight which is correct. Frame has 2-line patent mark on forward left side with rampant Colt logo without circle to the right. Loading gate and frame have assembly no. 217. SN matches on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Cyl has last 3 digits of SN on front face with a "W" proof. Cyl has rampant Colt logo stamped on rear face. There is a SSN written with electric pencil on inside of right trigger guard. Grips are unmarked. PROVENANCE: The Brad Shepherd Collection. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and ejector rod housing has 85% fading blue finish with muzzle wear, wear at front of ejector rod housing, and ejector rod head. Bbl markings are sharp. Front sight is full sized. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Frame retains 80% dulling case color, thin on left re-coil shield. Loading gate has some roughness, as does right side of frame above trigger. Trigger guard and backstrap have 60-70% blue finish, turning plumb brown on the straps and inside of trigger guard. All markings are sharp. Hammer retains 80% dulling blue with some rub marks on the sides. Trigger retains 50% blue. Cyl retains 90% bright blue finish with some high point wear toward the front and a very slight drag mark. Grips are very good with nice figure and no missing pieces. A nice Second Generation Six-Shooter in a popular caliber. 50062-40 TEP (1,250-1,750)
