3RD GENERATION COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER NICKEL FINISH WITH TWO PIECE WOOD GRIPS. COLT SAA SA32157 44 SPEC MODERN; C&R Cal .44 SPEC, 7-1/2" bbl, full nickel finish, with plain 2-pc walnut grips. Bbl has 1-line address on top and Colt SAA cal mark on left side. High thick front sight. Frame has 2-line patent mark on left forward side with Rampant Colt logo without circle to the right. SN on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap all match. Loading gate is unmarked. Last 4 digits of SN are stamped on front face of cyl. Full SN is written in pencil on the inside of each grip. PROVENANCE: The Brad Shepherd Collection. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbl and ejector rod retain nearly all the orig nickel finish, with some slight scratching overall. Markings are sharp. Front sight is full sized. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Frame, trigger guard, and backstrap retain nearly all of the orig nickel finish, with some small scratches overall and a small dent on the butt near the screw. Loading gate needs adjustment. Hammer, trigger, and screws also retain nearly all of their orig nickel finish. Cyl retains nearly all of the orig nickel finish, with sharp markings and a slight drag mark. Chambers are good. Grips are very good with very few handling marks. A nice full nickel Third Generation Six-Shooter with an uncommon bbl length and grips. 50062-64 TEP (1,000-1,500)
