GROUP OF FIVE HOLSTERS.

1) Single loop, border tooled holster for a 4-3/4" Colt SAA revolver. Loop is marked "Shelton Payne Arms , El Paso, Texas". Holster has border tooling in a running snake pattern with border around the edges. Skirt has same pattern. Loop is riveted to skirt. Toe of holster is riveted to skirt. 2) Fully tooled jockstrap holster made for a 7-1/2" Colt SAA revolver. Front of loop is marked "S.D. Myres, El Paso, Tex." Tooling is of a floral pattern with stippled background. Holster is very high quality with a forward cant. 3) Mexican 3-loop holster with safety tab made for a 7-1/2" Colt SAA revolver. Holster is not marked. Holster has 3 narrow loops and a Slim Jim style body. Holster has fine stitching overall and was at one time lined with a black finish. 4) Single Mexican loop holster for a Colt dbl action Model 78 with a 5-1/2" bbl. Holster has 2 line border tooling with rosettes. Loop has 2 line tooling with rosettes. Loop is stitched to holster. Holster is stamped on skirt under body "A.F. Rose Maker, San Angelo, Tex." 5) Tooled single loop basket-weave holster made for a small frame dbl action revolver. Loop is marked "A.W. Brill Maker, Austin.Tex". Texas Rangers were clients of A.W. Brill. SIZE: PROVENANCE: The Estate of G.W. "Bill" Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: 1) Very good. Holster is a deep russet brown color with some scuff marks on the loop and the toe. Tooling is sharp. Maker mark is sharp. Stitching is intact. 2) Fine. Tooling is sharp. Mark is sharp. Holster has a rich russet brown finish with some areas turning dark. 3) Very good. Holster has a crazed finish overall with a considerable amount of black remaining. Stitching is intact. Loops are intact. Lining is missing. 4) Very good. Holster has a black finish that is crazed with some loss at the throat. Stitching is intact. Mark is somewhat faint but readable. 5) Good to very good. Well used. Holster has a crack near the hammer. Loop has a crack at the backside. Some scuff marks and stains overall. Back lining is good. Stitching is intact. 49973-268 TEP (1,500-2,500)
