LOT OF FOUR MARLIN NO 32 STANDARD 1875 TIP-UP SPUR TRIGGER REVOLVERS WITH WEXEL & DEGRESS GRIPS. MARLIN 4 NO 32 STD 1875 7079, 8711, 6699, 3378 32 RF LONG, 32 RF LONG, 32 RF LONG, 32 RF LONG Cal. 32RF Long. Revolvers are identical configuration, nickel finish with 3" keyhole shaped bbl, half-moon front sight & Wexel & DeGress metal grips with the Goddess Victory on the right side. Engraving patterns differ slightly as follows: 1) SN 7079. New York-style, probably from the L.D. Nimschke shop with full coverage on sides of frame and foliate arabesque patterns on bbl and backstrap with matching patterns on cyl. Right side of frame is engraved with a small vignette of a lighthouse & sailboat. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbl & cyl are mostly a cleaned grey metal patina. Frame retains 60-70% orig nickel and the grips about 98% orig nickel. Mechanics are fine. Strong bore with scattered pitting. 2) SN 8711. Also by Nimschke with foliate arabesque & geometric patterns. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains about 70% orig nickel and the frame about 50%. Cyl shows about 40-50% orig nickel and grips about 60%. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore. 3) 6699. Similarly engraved to #2 with gold-washed grips. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbl retains about 93-95% orig nickel and the frame 85%. Cyl is a grey metal patina. Grips show about 50% gold-wash with the exposed areas a dark brass patina. Hammer will not hold at full-cock, otherwise mechanics are fine, dark bore. 4) SN 3378. Engraved similar to #2 & 3 with gold-washed grips. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl & frame retain about 93-95% orig nickel. Cyl is a dark brown patina. Grips retain 25-30% gold-wash with the exposed areas dark brass patina. Cyl is loose in the frame. Otherwise mechanics are fine; strong bright bore with scattered pitting.
