PAIR OF REID "MY FRIEND" NEW MODEL KNUCKLEDUSTERS. REID 2 NEW MDL "MY FRIENDS" 18387, 18542 32, 32 Cal. 32. 1) Early new model Knuckleduster with 1-3/4" bbl. Left side of bbl marked "My Friend". 5-shot fluted cylinder. Machined cylinder pin. Iron frame. Nicely scroll engraved with SN at bottom of knuckle guard. A loading gate on right side of frame. High front blade sight. Un-engraved butt. 2) New model Knuckleduster with 1-3/4" bbl. Left side of bbl marked "Reids New Model .32 / MY FRIEND". 5-shot fluted cylinder. Machine cylinder pin. Iron frame. Nicely scroll engraved with SN at bottom of knuckle guard. A loading gate on right side of frame. High front sight. Butt engraved in oval pattern and with a panel of knurling. PROVENANCE: The Carmen Gianforte Collection. CONDITION: 1) Very good. Appears to have been lightly cleaned and iron has patinated. Engraving is lightly worn with minor erosion in a couple small areas. Mechanics very good. Bore is dark. 2) Excellent. Retaining 75-80% nickel finish. Light flaking at muzzle and in a couple of spots on cylinder. Couple of minor areas of light staining on frame. Engraving is sharp. 49895-73 JSL70 (2,000-3,250)
