UNIQUE COLT BREVETE 3RD MODEL DRAGOON REVOLVER WITH 15-1/4" BARREL. COLT 3RD MDL DRAGOON 11366 44 CAL Cal. 44. 15-1/4" bbl, with remnants of front blade sight, top of bbl marked "COLT BREVETE". Six shot rnd cyl. Unmarked frame, except SN on bottom. Brass trigger guard and backstrap. 1-pc walnut grips. Modern wedge without SN. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. "Bill" Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Very good with scattered staining and salt and pepper pitting throughout. Cyl with moderate losses. Grips are very good with minor losses at butt and toe. Backstrap and trigger guard with minor handling marks. Toe and wedge screw appear to be modern replacements. Bbl assembly at frame restored at bottom. Bore is good with scattered pitting.
