RARE TEN SHOT CIVIL WAR WALCH PERCUSSION REVOLVER. WALCH FIREARMS CO TEN SHOT 1785 31 CAL Cal. 31. This gun is quite the curiosity with 10 nipples and 2 hammers. It was designed for superposed loads in each chamber with the right hammer discharging front load and left hammer discharging 2nd load. Gun appears all matching, original and complete. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. "Bill" Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Very good overall. Metal is overall gray patina with scattered small blemishes and light pitting. Bbl is well marked in 2 lines "WALCH FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW-YORK / PAT''D FEB 8 1859". 2-pc grips have matching SN to gun retaining much of their original varnish with scattered blemishes and moderate edge wear, left grip has longitudinal crack with glued repair. Gun appears functional with good bore with discernible rifling. 49973-421 JS (3,000-5,000)
