NEAR EASTERN FLINTLOCK PISTOL WITH INTERESTING DECORATION.FLINTLOCKPISTOLNSN60 CALCal. 60 bore. (.615 Bore diameter) 8" Swamped round bbl is 14" overall. Bbl is deep relief engraved over its entire surface with an interesting pattern of human figures, most unclothed, some with hats and dresses. Lock with scroll engraving features bridled frizzen and serpentine cock. Stock extends to muzzle and is near fully embellished with brass chinoiserie inlay with foliate highlights. Trigger guard and sideplate are of engraved steel. Octagonal grip cap is of copper. CONDITION: Good. Steel parts cleaned to silver gray patina. Stock with old finish and hand worn patina has some cracks along bbl channel, with one piece missing toward muzzle. Lock and frizzen are frozen in place. 49837-1 MGM231 (2,000-3,000)
