SCARCE ITHACA FLUES GRADE 4. ITHACA 4 201301 12 GA MODERN; C&R Cal. 12 ga. 30" Krupp fluid steel bbls, choked improved cylinder/full. Full length matted rib with brass front bead, tops of bbls marked "Krupp Fluid Steel". Gold-plated double triggers, extractors, automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock with gold shield, checkered in double fleur-de-lis pattern. 14" LOP over heavily worn Ithaca Gun Company hard rubber buttplate. Splinter forearm, checkered in multi-panel wave pattern with ebony tip. Receiver is finely engraved with setter on right, pointer on left, large duck on bottom and woodcock on trigger guard all surrounded by nicely executed tasteful scroll engraving perhaps by the master Joseph Loy. WEIGHT: 7lbs 6ozs. PROVENANCE: Lifelong Collection of Gentleman Collector Herbert Hyatt. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain nearly all of a professional quality recent rust blue. Buttstock and forearm have been professionally refinished,checkering re-cut. Buttplate as noted above. Receiver retains 10-15% orig case color balance having mostly silvered. Triggers retain some of their orig gold plating. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. 49897-1 JSL34 (1,500-2,500)
