Cal. 360 Rook ? 24" Octagon bbl is engraved with H&H New Bond Street address and "Field" rifle trial information on top flat, which is fitted with three leaf rear, and silver bead front, sights. Coin finished action with operating lever on right side is engraved with sprays of scroll. SN is on action tang. Lightly fiddle figured European walnut straight grip stock has steel buttplate and flat top point pattern checkering at grip. Matching small forend has side nail release. Weight: 5 lbs. 12 oz. Wooden case is lined in green cloth and has reproduction H&H label in lid. PROVENANCE: Unidentified invoice dated 2003 for work performed including making new screws, engraving, etc. for total of $2530.00. Lifelong Collection of Gentleman Collector Herbert Hyatt. CONDITION: Fine, as restored, retaining nearly all fine applied custom finishes over some marks and dents in wood. Bore is very good, lightly pitted. Case is good. 49897-7 MGM255 (1,250-2,000)
