FOUR ORPHAN SHOTGUN BARRELS BY PURDEY AND BOSS. BOSS/ PURDEY BARRELS NA VARIOUS Cal. Various. Barrel 1: 28" 12 ga. Purdey OU bbls SN 26396, with ventilated rib. CONDITION: Excellent original condition. Barrel 2: 27-3/8" 12 ga. OU bbls by Boss SN 8837. No rib. Gold inlaid "1" with star on Nock form. CONDITION: Very fine original, lightly worn. Barrel 3: 32" 12 ga. SXS bbls by Boss with ejector forend including wood, SN 4907. With pigeon rib. CONDITION: good with exterior pitting. Bores lightly frosted with some dents. Barrel 4: 26" SXS 20 ga. Boss bbls with forend metal. SN 8389. Gold inlaid "2" on flat matted rib. CONDITION: fair, considerably pitted on exterior, shiny bores with dents and slight bulge in right bbl. PROVENANCE: Lifelong Collection of Gentleman Collector Herbert Hyatt.
