MASSIVE WILLIAM EVANS 8 BORE FOWLER. WM EVANS FOWLER 10756 8GA MODERN; C&R Cal. 8 bore. 36" fluid steel bbls, plain top rib with dolls-head extension and brass front bead marked "William Evans, 63 Pall Mall Street, St. James's London". Dbl triggers, extractor, automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in 2-point pattern with tear-drop behind action and silver oval near toe with 14-1/2" LOP over "Decelerator" red pad. Splinter forearm checkered in 3-point pattern with swing lever release at head. Frame is nicely scroll engraved throughout and marked on both sides "William Evans". Safety with "Safe" in gold. Trigger guard with long tang. Steel grip cap both engraved with high quality scroll. WEIGHT: 13 lbs. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain most of an exceptional quality, professionally restored rust-blue. Buttstock and forearm are very good with scattered handling marks and retain most of an older professionally restored finish, checkering is crisp with light wear. Receiver retains 35% orig case hardening. Trigger plate with 80-90% blued finish remaining. Trigger guard with 35-40% orig blue on bow. Tang has toned. Top lever is excellent and retains most of what appears to be its orig blue. Bores are very good with scattered frosting particularly in left tube. Mechanics are excellent.
