HIGH QUALITY ROBERT HUBNER BOXLOCK EJECTOR OVER-UNDER RIFLE/ SHOTGUN COMBO WITH EXTRA SHOTGUN BARRELS AND ZEISS SCOPE.HUBNEROU COMBO178297X57Rx16 GA and 16 gaMODERN; C&RCal. 7x57R x 16 ga. and 16 ga. Both bbl sets are 23-5/8" and fitted with full length solid matted ribs. Combo bbls have Krieghoff type sliding dovetailed scope bases. Both bbl sets are engraved "Robert Hubner Darmstadt" on rib. Bottoms of bbls are stamped with calibers and 1935 German proofs. Combo shotgun bbl is choked mod, and OU/shotgun bbls are choked full and full. Case hardened, scallop-backed, boxlock, double Kersten, OU action with reinforcing bolsters, features automatic safety, pin type cocking indicators, and dbl triggers (front set). Action is engraved with near full coverage exceptionally well cut small shaded scroll. Trigger guard is of horn. Exceptionally fine heavily veined and lightly figured dark European walnut horn capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-3/8" over reddish brown leather covered pad. Stock features nicely cut borderless point pattern checkering and small shadow line right hand cheekpiece. Each bbl set shares the same ejector 3-pc forend bottom piece, which has Deeley release. Zeiss Zielvier scope with 3 heavy post and crosshair reticle is in slip-on mounts with pivoting locks. Included is leather scope case, original canvas trunk case and newly mfg leather trunk case. PROVENANCE: The Timothy Scott Collection. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain over 90% orig blue. Action retains approx 50% orig case hardening color. Stocks retain nearly all of an old hand rubbed oil finish, checkering lightly worn. Bores are excellent. Action is tight. Set trigger works. Ejectors are strong and in time.
