VERY FINE BERNHARD FRITZ SIDEPLATED BLITZ ACTION EJECTOR OVER-UNDER DOUBLE RIFLE WITH SWAROVSKI SCOPE.BERNHARD FRITZO/U DBL RIFLE32253630-06/03-06MODERNCal. 30-06/ 30-06. 25" Demi-bloc bbls are fitted with full length matted rib, central portion cut away forming quarter rib and front ramp. Rib is fitted with standing leaf rear sight and claw bases. Coin finished double Kersten OU action fitted with ornamental sideplates, features automatic safety, bushed strikers, and dbl triggers (front set). Action and sideplates are engraved with an outline of large shaded acanthus scroll surrounding exceptionally fine Bulino game scenes; a pair of stags battle in alpine meadow while hind looks on, on left side; with a trio of wolves, two howling, on right. An eagle stoops, talons outstretched, on bottom of action. Engravers signature, F. Oberdorfer, is under wolf scene. Fences are beautifully relief carved in acanthus scroll. Trigger guard is of steel. Nicely marbled European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/2" over black rifle pad, and features right hand shadow line cheekpiece. Checkering is of carved fishscale type. Matching 3-pc ejector forend has Deeley release. Swarovski Habicht 2.5 - 10 rail scope with 3 post and crosshair reticle is in Recnagel type claw mounts. PROVENANCE: The Timothy Scott Collection. CONDITION: Excellent, appears to have been fired very little. There are only a few minor marks in all fine factory finishes. Mechanically crisp. Scope is excellent. 50071-9 MGM150 (2,000-5,000)
