KRIEGHOFF SIDEPLATED BLITZ ACTION EJECTOR OVER-UNDER DOUBLE RIFLE WITH ZEISS SCOPE.KRIEGHOFFO/U DBL RIFLE834559.3x74R/9.3X74RMODERNCal. 9.3 x 74R and 9.3x74R. 25" Mono-bloc bbls are fitted with quarter rib holding rear sight and claw bases. Bright coin finished OU double Kersten Blitz trigger plate action features ornamental sideplates, tang safety, pin type cocking indicators, bushed strikers, and dbl triggers (front set). Action is engraved with full coverage very large open scrolled acanthus. "KRIEGHOFF ULM" is on bottom. Trigger guard is of nylon. Nicely marbled European walnut hog backed pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/4" over checkered plastic buttplate. Stock has slight palm swell under skip line checkered grip, and right hand shadow line cheekpiece. Rear portion of stock surrounding buttplate has been carved in semi-relief oak leaves flanking rather naive scene of two running boar on right side. One piece forend has Deeley release. Bbls are fitted wtih Zeiss Diavari-C scope with three post and crosshair reticle in claw mounts. PROVENANCE: The Timothy Scott Collection. CONDITION: Excellent. Metal parts retain well over 90% of their factory finishes with some marks and spotting on bbls. Stocks have a considerable number of minor marks, checkering lightly worn. Bores are excellent.
