COLT MODEL 1911 SEMI-AUTO MILITARY PISTOL. COLT 1911 381638 45 ACP MODERN; C&R Cal. 45 ACP. Usual configuration with 5" bbl & orig fixed sights. Slide has standard Colt & model markings. Left front of frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" & it has a Springfield eagle/S5 inspector mark just above the magazine release mounted with large diamond checkered walnut grips & accompanied by one 2-tone magazine. PROVENANCE: The Brad Shepherd Collection. CONDITION: Good to very good. Overall retains about 99% of an applied dark oxide finish with only sharp edge wear. Grips show moderate to heavy wear on the left side, sharper on the right side. Mechanics are fine. Bright shiny bore. Magazine is mostly a dark blue patina. 50062-230 JR137 (2,000-4,000)
