WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE WILLOW CORAL & BRONZE COVERED BOX.Extremely rare Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre covered box is decorated in Willow pattern with coral buildings and elves decorating sides against bronze lustre background. Coral decoration is highlighted with gilded detail. Interior of box has center blue medallion of mountains at ocean side with bird in flight on each side of medallion. Box is complete with original matching lid. Signed on underside with Portland vase mark, "Wedgwood Made in England" and "Z5406". Similar example is pictured in the book [i]Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre[/i] by Una des Fontaines, pg. 201, fig. 88. SIZE: 7" l x 4-1/4" d x 2-3/4" t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with few tiny scratches to finish on lid and some minor wear to gilding on edge of lid. 50395-5 DAB (4,000-6,000)
