MT. WASHINGTON ROYAL FLEMISH HORNED DRAGON VASE.Royal Flemish vase is decorated with gilded horned dragon with green highlights set against a background of burgundy, red and amber panels with gilded trim. Vase is further decorated on the reverse with the gilded head of a mythological bird with green highlights, and collar with stylized floral gilded pattern. Vase with similar decor is pictured in Mt.Washington Art Glass by Betty Sisk, p196. Unsigned. SIZE: 7-1/2" t. PROVENANCE: From the Unreserved Collection of Mrs. Jackie & the late Dean Ballard. CONDITION: Some minor losses to gilding on body of vase and minor wear to the gilded top rim, otherwise very good to excellent. 50421-15 MEF (2,000-3,000)
