LOT OF VICTORIAN ART GLASS.1) Crown Milano sweet meat has bulbous body and is decorated with gilded flowers, stems and leaves surrounding body with bright red glass cabochons adorning center of each flower and dark blue glass beads representing buds on vine. All against pastel swirled blue, green and cream background. Sweet meat is complete with silver plated collar, hinged handle and lid. Underside of lid is marked "American Silver Plate Co. Quadruple 605", sweet meat is marked on underside with entwined "CM" under crown. 2) Mount Washington tomato salt and pepper shakers have silver plated lids and are decorated with enameled small red and blue flowers with green stems. Shakers rest in silver plated holder with crisscrossed rope handle. Holder is marked on underside "Rockford Silver Plate Quadruple 40". Shakers are unsigned. SIZE: 1) 7-1/4" to top of handle. 2) 5" to top of handle. PROVENANCE: From the Unreserved Collection of Mrs. Jackie & the late Dean Ballard. CONDITION: Sweet meat has tiny chip to one blue glass bead, silver plate hardware has wear and discoloration, otherwise very good. Salt and pepper in stand are very good to excellent. 50421-14 DAB (700-1,000)
