HANDEL NAUTICAL SCENE TABLE LAMP.Handel table lamp has domed shade with reverse painted scene with fishing boats in full sail coming into harbor in shades of amber, green and yellow giving the feel of sunset mooring. Exterior is done in chipped ice. Signed on interior rim "Handel Co. 7034" artist initial "M". Shade rests on original Handel base with Oriental style openwork foot and slightly bulbous beveled body leading to three socket cluster with acorn pulls and pierced fleur-de-lis heat cap. Base is finished in rich brown patina with subtle red highlights. Unsigned. SIZE: Shade is 17-1/2" dia. Lamp is 23-1/2" t. PROVENANCE: From the Unreserved Collection of Dr. & Mrs. Brian Bojesen. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent. Base is very good to excellent. Re-wired with appropriate cloth cord. 50361-10 DAB (4,000-6,000)
