HANDEL JUNGLE BIRD TABLE LAMP.Handel table lamp has domed shade with reverse painted colorful jungle birds resting among dense jungle foliage with yellow flowers and two butterflies hovering near flowers. Birds and green foliage are set against black background. Exterior finished in chipped ice. Signed on interior lip "Handel 70(or 6)25". Shade rests on an original Handel base with round platform foot surrounded by stylized leaf decoration supporting three legs with acanthus leaves at top and bottom along with central stem supporting small urn shaped body. Riser supports three socket cluster and pierced fleur-de-lis cap. Base is finished in rich brown patina. Unsigned. SIZE: Shade is 18" dia. Lamp is 23-1/2" t. CONDITION: Shade very good to excellent. Base is very good to excellent with some minor wear and blistering to finish. Re-wired with contemporary plastic cord. 50449-4 DAB (9,000-12,000)
