HANDEL JUNGLE BIRD TABLE LAMP.Handel table lamp is reverse painted with brightly colored jungle birds in orange, yellow, blue and black plumage. Two birds on the front of shade, single bird on back with pink, maroon, yellow and orange flowers with shaded green leaves surrounding the birds all against a cream colored background. with splashes of maroon and blue. Shade is signed on the inside rim "Handel 7128" and also artist signed "Bedigie". Shade rests on a Handel base with round platform and stylized leaf decoration around the edge. Platform supports three legs leading to an urn shaped center with simple riser leading to a three socket cluster and fleur-de-lis cap. Base is further decorated with three amber glass flowers just below the urn, finished dark brown. Unsigned. SIZE: Shade 17-3/4" dia. Lamp 23" t. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent. Base is very good to excellent with only minor wear to finish. Re-wired with contemporary plastic cord. 49566-4 DAB (8,000-12,000)
