AUSTRIAN ART NOUVEAU LAMP.

Austrian lamp has Art Nouveau cast bronze base of two snakes around iridescent pottery bowl, forming stems of lamp. Snakes mouths hold urn with stained glass blown out panels which houses single socket at top and bottom. Bottom of urn is further decorated with beaded fringe. Lamp is complete with iridescent Loetz shade with amber oil spot and swirl decoration against cream colored background. Base and shade are unsigned. Pottery bowl is signed "Hellosino Ware, Austria" with incised numbers "V 21074". SIZE: Shade is 10" dia with 7" fitter. Lamp is 28-1/2" t. CONDITION: Shade is very good with small flake on outside edge of fitter, concealed when shade is in place. Base is very good to excellent with some minor wear to patina and center bowl from appropriate use and age. 50429-6 DAB (7,000-9,000)
