DAUM NANCY SUNFLOWER VASE.Large Daum inverted trumpet vase has rich cranberry and green background glass with acid cut stems, leaves and sunflower blossoms. Acid textured background has acid cut swirls in the green sections and smaller random acid cut wavy lines in the cranberry sections, both with acid textured surfaces. Vase is further decorated with each of the three flower blossoms having a round applied cranberry center with acid cut pattern. Vase also has gilding on leaves and sunflower petals. Signed on the pontil with carved and gilded "Daum Nancy" and cross of Lorraine. SIZE: 15-1/2" t. PROVENANCE: From an Unreserved Texas Collection. CONDITION: Some small open bubbles and acid marks on underside from the making, otherwise very good to excellent. 50006-42 MEF (2,000-3,000)
