VERY RARE FIRST YEAR (1931) PRODUCTION BROWNING MIDAS GRADE SUPERPOSED SHOTGUN.BROWNINGSUPERPOSED MIDAS243512 GAMODERN; C&RCal. 12 ga. 32" bbls, ventilated rib, 2-3/4" chambers, flush choke tubes installed. Metal front bead. Gold washed single trigger. Blued receiver engraved with a pigeon inside a stylized pyramid all in gold on both right & left sides. Receiver, trigger bow & forend iron with geometric engraving & borders all in gold. SN in gold on long tang. Custom wood, both forend & Monte Carlo style buttstock with beautifully executed checkering & fleur-de-lis carving. Flared capped pistol grip, grip cap with white diamond inlay. Solid black rubber recoil pad with two black spacers. LOP 14-1/4" over pad. Non-auto safety. Comes with 5 flush mount choked tubes and wrench. Gun is accompanied by a letter from Browning historian showing a sale date of April 22, 1931. CONDITION: Fine as likely refinished to a very high standard. All blued metal in very fine condition. Custom buttstock & forend is a beautiful satin finish with hardly a mark. Bores mirror bright. Gun is tight. Top lever to right. Good mechanics, strong ejectors.
