PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Fine. Bbls retain most of their strong blue with many handling marks and several abrasions on right bbl top above forend. Blue worn at muzzles. Areas thinning at breech. Right bbl shows area going to brown which is barely noticeable. 8" behind muzzle. No dents. Bores are bright, shiny and unpitted. Strong, clean PH Grade markings. Exceptionally nice PH Grade receiver with sharp edges and clean engraving, with much orig case color remaining. Color loss primarily in carry areas. Small areas of oxidation on top tang ahead of safety button. Blue has faded on trigger bow; grip tang area silvered from use. Small patch of oxidation below triggers. Screws are nice. Stock and forend appear to be excellent professionally executed replacements. Checkering is very well done and sharp. Gun is listed by SN in "The Parker Gun Identification and Serialization" book as originally a straight grip gun as it is currently. Top lever right of center. Gun is tight, ejectors are strong and operate crisply. This rare gun is one of only about 1,000 PH Grade Parker Steel bbld guns plus was fitted with a factory straight grip configuration and ejectors to boot. 50595-5 TJW (3,000-4,500)
