VERY HANDSOME L.C. SMITH IDEAL GRADE 16 GAUGE EJECTOR SHOTGUN.L.C. SMITHIDEAL20298116GAMODERN; C&RCal. 16 ga. 26" bbls, 2-3/4" chambers, IC & Full chokes. Double beads. Raised matted rib. Underside of bbls marked "LONDON STEEL". Splinter forend. Foliate engraved Ideal Grade light weight ejector receiver. Double triggers. Highly figured buttstock with capped pistol grip. Hard rubber buttplate. LOP 14", DAC 1-1/2", DAH 2-3/4". Automatic safety. PROVENANCE: Accompanied by L.C. Smith Collectors Association Letter. CONDITION: Bbls retain nearly all of their deep blue finish. Blue thinning at muzzle, minor handling marks. No dings or dents. Bores clean and unpitted. Receiver retains generous case color, some vivid in protected areas. Underside faded from carry wear. Screws are crisp. Trigger bow retains great blue with silvering on tang. Stock and forend have had finish added, shows no cracks, very nice fit. Checkering is prominent. This gun is tight, operates crisply, ejectors are strong. Top lever right of center. A very nice example of a 16 gauge Ideal Grade with eye-catching wood. 50920-2 TJW (2,000-3,000)
