Engraving features hunting dogs on sideplates with dog carrying woodcock on trigger guard bow surrounded by fancy borders and foliate scroll highlights. Checkered walnut splinter forearm with steel tip and ebony insert. straight hand replacement stock of fancy thin shell walnut with point pattern hand checkering having silver nameplate at toeline. LOP: 13-7/8" over Lefever buttplate. CONDITION: Bbls have partially faded brown finish showing good Damascus pattern. Good bores. Action retains lightly visible case colors on sideplates and protected areas with balance fading to gray patina. Refinished forearm shows checkering wear and scattered marks having chips at iron.
