WINCHESTER PRE-WAR MODEL 70 BOLT ACTION RIFLE.WINM-70575622 HORNETMODERNCal. 22 Hornet. Early rifle with pre-war features including safety and cloverleaf tang. 24" bbl with hooded ramp front sight and filler in rear sight dovetail. Rec is fitted with Lyman No. 48 rec sight. Bolt body is numbered to gun. Low comb walnut stock with checkered steel buttplate, sling swivel and 22 lpi hand checkering. PROVENANCE: The Jon Roark Collection. CONDITION: Bbl and rec retain 97% rust blue finish showing slight wear at muzzle. Bolt handle and floorplate have thinning blue. Stock has lightly worn finish showing scattered handling marks.
