WONDERFUL ENGRAVED REMINGTON MODEL 12 F GRADE SLIDE ACTION RIFLE. REMINGTON 12 F GRADE 62081 22LR MODERN; C&R Cal. 22 LR. Beautiful factory engraved Remington rifle with 24" oct bbl, Lyman front sight, correct bbl sight with fold down tang sight. Receiver is wonderfully engraved in F style with large vignettes of two rabbits in field surrounded by diamond on left side and a squirrel sitting on the ground on the right side, all surrounded by full coverage foliate arabesque style engraving with wavy line and punch dot borders. Top of receiver with full engraved coverage and inscribed "MADE FOR / HERBERT W. HEGELE M.D. / PORTLAND OREGON". Underside of receiver and trigger guard engraved to match. SN engraved on bottom front of receiver. Engraving at bbl breech and mag bands. Lovely deluxe grained walnut with areas of heavy figure. Capped pistol grip. Remington/UMC crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very good plus. Bbl and mag tube retain most of their blue with areas of slide wear on mag and action bar. Scattered minor handling marks. Receiver retains most of its factory blue with very sharp engraving with slight carry wear on bottom and sharp edges. Excellent wood finish which appears orig with several bumps and bruises on buttstock with small chip out of bottom of forend, easily remedied. Bright shiny bore. 50426-33 TJW (6,000-9,000)
