DAINTY AND RARE PRUSSIAN DALY EMPIRE GRADE 24 GA GAME GUN. CHARLES DALY BOXLOCK 1283 24 GA MODERN; C&R Cal. 24 ga. 2-1/2" Cham. 24" bbls, choked IC/Mod, flats marked with "HA Lindner Crossed Cannons" proof mark. Scalloped boxlock action with simple scroll flourishes and border engraving, cocking indicators, double trigger, beetle back safety. Finely figured European walnut, splinter type forend with horn inlaid tip, semi pistol grip, horn buttplate. 13-1/4" LOP. 4 lbs. 10 oz. CONDITION: About good. Gun suffers from poor storage with moderate to heavy oxidation/pitting on metal surfaces. Wood is sound with numerous light handling marks. Buttplate is worm eaten. Bores with scattered light to moderate pitting, mechanics crisp, action tight. This is a candidate for loving restoration for re-entry into the field. 50880-1 JWD (3,500-5,500)
