SCARCE MAUSER C96 SHALLOW MILLED LARGE RING. MAUSER C96 33818 7.63 MAUSER MODERN; C&R; IMPORT Cal. 7.63M. Standard configuration Shallow Milled Large Ring with a 5.5" bbl and slip-in 50-500 rear sight. Long extractor, single lug firing pin, large ring hammer. Usual chamber markings. Left side of the bbl extension marked Crown/Crown/U; Antler proof on the right side. Finely serrated walnut panels. Lanyard ring present. Major parts rust blued. Fire blued extractor, cursor, bolt stock, safety and grip screw. Straw trigger. Finely serrated walnut grips. Extensive disassembly shows all matching serial numbers including the sight bar and each of the fully numbered grips. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: Approximately 95% bright orig rust blue with wear consistent with expected use. Scattered dings in front of the magazine well and along the leading edges of the rails and floorplate. Nearly 50% of the front strap has transitioned to a brownish gray patina. Comparable condition orig grips, with a scattering of light dings, that retain most varnish. Mirror bright bore.
