DWM BABY LUGER, CONTEMPORARY MODIFICATION. DWM BABY LUGER 41808 9 MM MODERN; C&R; IMPORT Cal. 9mm. 3-1/4" bbl with post-war Eagle/N proof and full SN on bottom. Just below SN is line around bbl where bbl has been cut and sleeved, similar to modification on orig examples. "DWM" scroll on center toggle link. Small Eagle/N on left receiver. Post-war German proofs under sideplate. Grip area of frame has been cut, shortened and welded in recent years. Numbered parts are matching. Contemporary checkered walnut grips are 1-pc and not numbered. Mag has been shortened to fit gun in recent years and has blued body with plain wood bottom. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: Very fine, restored to 97% blue and 95% straw. Rear toggle link is fading. Grips are sharp with beautiful wood grain. Bore is bright and sharp. Mechanics are fine. Mag has little wear. 49829-128 BWS (3,000-5,000)
