MAUSER 1936 S/42 LUGER. MAUSER P08 LUGER 1936 S/42 2098l 9MM MODERN; C&R; IMPORT Cal. 9mm. 4" bbl with Eagle/62 proof on left and SN on bottom. 1936 date above chamber. "S/42" (Mauser manufacture) on center toggle link. Eagle/63 proofs on right receiver. Gun has matching numbers down to firing pin. Unnumbered checkered walnut grips. Renumbered aluminum bottom Eagle/63 proofed mag with numbers that don't match. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: Fine, retaining 85% blue with scattered corrosion and light pitting on left side and grip straps that are fading to brown. Straw has been reheated to 95% with visible corrosion underneath. Grips are lightly worn and retain orig color. Bore is bright with very light frosting. Mechanics are fine. Mag has minor wear. 49829-173 BWS (1,400-2,500)
