MAUSER 1940 BANNER POLICE LUGER WITH S/42 TOGGLE. MAUSER P08 LUGER 1940/S42 3785 9MM MODERN; C&R; IMPORT Cal. 9mm. 4" military ordnance replacement bbl with small "S/42" on bottom and small Eagle/63 proof on upper left. 1940 date above chamber. "S/42" (Mauser) on center toggle link. Toggle assembly is a military replacement with orig numbers that match gun. Firing pin is mismatched. Eagle/N proof on left receiver. Police Eagle/L proof on right receiver. Police Sear safety above sear bar. Checkered black plastic (black widow) grips with outer border. Black plastic bottom "fxo" magazine. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: Fine, retaining 90% orig blue with light scratches and corrosion overall. Grips have light wear and small chips to some checkering. Bore is lightly worn with frosting. Magazine has very little wear. Mechanics are fine. 49829-57 BWS (1,500-2,500)
