BEAUTIFUL ENGRAVED MAUSER LUGER WITH FITTED LEATHER CASE. MAUSER LUGER BYF 41 9579 9MM MODERN; C&R; IMPORT Cal. 9mm. 4" bbl with full SN on bottom. Monogrammed initials engraved above chamber. "byf" (Mauser) on center toggle link. Numbered parts are matching down to the firing pin. 60% of gun is covered in Germanic style contemporary engraving. Highly figured contemporary checkered walnut grips with a thin outer border. With 3 black bottom "fxo" mags, takedown rod/oiler, and pin punch in a cranberry colored leather case with brass fittings, gold eagles on lid corners, and a fitted green velvet interior. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% of contemporary blue and straw with normal wear on edges and corners. Grips are sharp with beautiful wood grain. Bore is bright and sharp with very light frosting. Mechanics are excellent. Mags are excellent with very little wear, as are cleaning rod/oiler & pin punch. Case is in excellent condition inside and out, but is missing a plaque on the top where 2 attaching holes remain. 49829-87 BWS (1,500-3,000)
