VERY FINE U.S. MODEL 1903 SPRINGFIELD MANUFACTURED IN 1927.SPRINGFIELD1903127488830-06MODERN; C&RCal. 30 ODD 60. U.S. Model 1903 Springfield with exceptional SA SPG cartouches finger groove stock with 2 reinforcing and type 2 hand guard. Bbl marked "SA 6-27". Checkered buttplate with all milled furniture including swivels, trigger guard, barrel bands, bayonet lug and buttplate. Deep dish sight adjustment knobs for windage and elevation and bright polish rear sight. CONDITION: Very fine overall, with bright shiny bore and crisp mechanics. Most 1920's dark blackish Parkerizing remains. Typical stock wear as to be expected at wrists and finger groove areas with period light bruising on hand guard towards muzzle. Cartouches are lightly worn but very evident and discernible. A very nice post World War I 1903 Springfield. 51028-8 TDW (1,000-1,500)
