EXCEPTIONAL SPRINGFIELD ARMORY 1922 M-2.SPRINGFIELD1922 M-21661722 LRMODERN; C&RCal. 22 LR. 24" bbl marked "SA 5-42". Gray/green phosphate finish on bbl action assembly and trigger assembly. Finger groove walnut M-2 marked stock with solid checkered buttplate. Correct Lyman micrometer receiver sight. Numbers matching appropriate M-2 marked bolt. Accompanied with 1944 dated M-1 sling with flat buckle. PROVENANCE: From High Condition Collection of Discerning U.S. Military Rifle Collector, Offered Without Reserve. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine overall with most all Parkerized finish remaining with typical loss at muzzle and front sight with small amount of wear on edges of trigger assembly and high points of receiver. Wood is exceptional and nicely marked M-2 and has the manufacturers drawing number. Lyman micrometer sight is near new condition. Bore and mechanics are fine. 50909-14 TDW (1,200-2,000)
