VERY FINE U.S. SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1922 M1.SPRINGFIELDM19222042522LRMODERN; C&RCal. 22LR. 24" bbl dated "2-31". Blue finish overall with 5-rnd 1922 M1 pattern magazine. 1-pc walnut stock with no reinforcement pins. Lyman receiver sight on rear with Lyman 17A front target sight. NRA pattern steel checkered buttplate with military sling swivels. Early 1922 M1 pattern bolt without cocking knob. CONDITION: Very fine as refinished with receiver and bbl drilled and tapped for period rifle scope. 1-pc walnut stock has been professionally refinished. Bore and mechanics are excellent. Sold by The Division of Civilian Marksmanship in 1936 and shipped with NRA pattern buttplate as per Summary of D.C.M. Rifle Sales 1922- 1942. 50982-5 TDW (1,000-2,000)
