VERY FINE SPRINGFIELD LEND/LEASE M1 GARAND RIFLE.SPRINGFIELDM1 GARAND52538930-06MODERN; C&RCal. .30-06. 24" British proofed 1942 bbl. Manufactured 1942. With "SA / GHS" cartouche, milled bbl bands, solid pin, front sight adjustment cover intact, unmodified square cut op rod with long spring guide, and single slot gas plug. Walnut hand guard has visible traces of lend/lease painted stripe. With undated 1905 pattern leather sling. PROVENANCE: From High Condition Collection of Discerning U.S. Military Rifle Collector, Offered Without Reserve. CONDITION: Very fine overall and remains in its proper WWII lend/lease configuration. Excellent bore and mechanics, with most all period Parkerized finish remaining with wear on high points and buttplate. Wood is very fine with typical handling marks and abrasions from use.
