VERY FINE WWII SPRINGFIELD M-1 GARAND RIFLE.SPRINGFIELDM1 GARAND519635.30-06MODERN; C&RCal. 30-06. 24" Springfield bbl. Mid war gray/green Parkerized finish covering all metal with exception of gas assembly. 3-pc stock set with appropriate "SA / GHS" cartouche and ordnance wheel. British proof marks visible on bbl when charging handle in rear position indicating this was a lend-lease rifle. Retains all early components including locking bar rear sight, square uncut op rod, long recoil spring guide, straight front sight with sight screw cover. Milled stock bands with solid pin. Accompanied with pre-war cleaning kit/oiler. CONDITION: Exceptional overall for an authentic WWII M-1 Garand rifle that saw service. Exterior phosphate finish is very good with slight wear at high points as to be expected. Stocks are very good with no cracks or breaks, with small indentations from soldiers seating cartridges in their 8-rnd clips. Remnants of anodized finish on gas system. 50274-3 TDW (1,500-2,500)
