GOOD WORLD WAR II UNION SWITCH & SIGNAL MODEL 1911 A1 MANUFACTURED 1943. UNION SWITCH & SIGNAL 1911A1 1052008 45ACP MODERN; C&R Cal. 45 ACP. Traditional 5" bbl. Parkerized finish overall. Left side of slide with the intertwined US&S logo and marked "US&S Co., Swissvale, PA, USA". Right side of frame are traditional United States property markings with SN and "M 1911 A1 U.S. Property". Left side of frame has the traditional "RCD" inside of a circle inspection (R.C. Downey). 2-pc narrow ring plastic grips manufactured by Keyes. Correct trigger, hammer, safeties and mainspring housing are present. Correct Springfield manufactured bbl and Scovill manufactured magazine. PROVENANCE: Gerard Ruth Collection, ex Alex Chauffe SR. CONDITION: Good overall, with most exterior finish having turned plum. A materially correct Union Switch & Signal with excellent bore and mechanics. 51036-20 TDW (2,500-3,500)
