VERY FINE NORWEGIAN MODEL 1914 45 AUTOMATIC PISTOL. NORWEGIAN 1914 8759 45ACP MODERN; C&R Cal. 45 ACP. 5" bbl, grey black phosphate finish with slide marked "11.25m/mAUT.PISTOL M/1914 No 8759". Opposite side of slide dated "1925" over Norwegian proof. 2-pc checkered walnut grips checkered in the double diamond pattern with the distinctive slide stop cut in left grip. Most all small parts boldly serial numbered 8759, including bbl, trigger, safety, ejector, mainstream housing, grip safety, magazine release and recoil spring plunger with lanyard loop magazine. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine overall, with most all arsenal finish remaining. Slight finish wear on flats of slide, tops of sights, and high points of safety and slide release. Bore and mechanics are bright and crisp. Grips, although look rather dark, are appropriate as Norwegian grips were stained extremely dark. Slight finish loss on backstrap from carry and thinning of finish on frontstrap. A very fine example. 51034-9 TDW (1,000-1,500)
