VERY FINE COLT 1911 A1 MODEL 1927 ARGENTINE CONTRACT.COLT1911A138945ACPMODERN; C&RCal. 45 ACP. Blue finish overall. Manufactured by Colt under contract in 1927 with the Argentine Government. Marked on right side of slide "EJERCITO ARGENTINO/COLT CAL. 45 MOD. 1927". Frames are numbered internally, however, still have the Violent proof from Colt on trigger guard. Argentine proof marks on top of bbl at chamber, No. 389 SN on top of slide. The initial run of these firearms manufactured in Hartford later on made under the Hafdasa name in Argentina and became known as the Sistemma Model 1927. CONDITION: Very fine overall, with typical light holster wear at muzzle and high points of flats of slide. Slight holster wear on safety and frontstrap. A small import marking of "CAISTLABVT on bottom of trigger guard and hand scribed "389" at frontstrap. Bore is dark. Mechanics are crisp. 51034-10 TDW (1,000-2,000)
