EXCEPTIONAL PRE-WAR COLT ACE .22 AUTOMATIC SN: 989 WITH BOX.COLTACE98922 LRMODERN; C&RCal. 22LR. 4-3/4" bbl, manufactured 1931. Checkered walnut grips. 2-tone Colt Ace marked mag. Adjustable rear sight. With orig and properly numbered Colt box with numbered Colt test target, ppw and sight adjustment tool. NOTE: Consecutive serial number 988 offered in following lot. PROVENANCE: The Charles Copeland, Jr. Collection. CONDITION: Very fine, orig blue finish showing only slight traces of edge wear from box storage. Excellent checkered walnut grips.
