OUTSTANDING GERMAN GUSTLOFF KKW .22 TRAINING RIFLE WITH ZF41 SCOPE.GUSTLOFFKKW TRAINER27228922 LRMODERN; C&RCal. 22LR. Eagle over N proof marks on receiver and bbl with Gustloff inspection mark (Eagle/749) on left side of receiver and Spandau Depot eagle over SU19 inspection mark on right side of stock. This is a commercial gun taken into service by the Army and then shipped to Spandau for installation of the scope. Includes orig leather sling and scarce orig .22 muzzle cap. Includes an unnumbered ZF41 scope mount marked "Duv" and "Eagle 214" which indicates Berlin-Lubecker Maschinenfabrik, probably an ordnance replacement scope mount. Scope itself is marked "CAG" which indicates D. Swarovski Glasfabrik, and numbered "4635" with markings "Z.F. 41/1". Scope is accompanied within it's "JVB" (Wessel & Muller Beschlagfabrik) carrying can, complete with rain and eye guards, lens brush and cloth. Bolt of rifle has electro-pencil "289" on flat of cocking handle. Typical "KK Wehrsportgewhr" and "Gustloff Werke/Waffenwerk-Suhl" markings. CONDITION: Absolutely outstanding orig condition, over 90% attractive lustrous blue finish thinning to gray patina in places with some high edge wear and some mottled loss of finish to the forend cap. Wood shows numerous handling marks and some bruises but presents very well. Bore is absolutely outstanding, shiny and bright. Leather sling starting to flake but still completely serviceable. Scope is near excellent over 95% orig blue finish with clear optics. Case retains it's orig padding and correct WWII Wehrmacht green paint with web belt and pull tab intact. This rifle is an absolutely outstanding specimen of it's kind without importation marks, in an orig condition that very seldom surfaces on the public collecting market. 50821-8 JWK57 (2,500-5,000)
