Beautiful replacement grips, numbered to match the pistol, are scroll engraved and serrated. All external numbers are matching including the sight bar. Accompanied by a contemporary and impressive carved stock whose in-the-white looped hinge and matching lug have been engraved in a complimentary fashion-including the front face of the lug! PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: In-the-white pistol with surface toning and chemical aging. Though the pistol was meticulously cleaned before embellishment, it is possible to see a few fine scattered pinpricks of oxidation. Bright bore with mild etching, shallow rifling. Perfect manual mechanics except for sluggish bolt return. Stock with a scattering of minor surface dings and aged to retain at least 95% of the varnish. Similar age related considerations apply to the hinge and lug. An very impressive rig made to resemble a high order, regal Mauser presentation. 49828-129 LMA (5,000-10,000)
