MAUSER C96, EARLY M1930 COMMERCIAL, WITH DETACHABLE MAGAZINE EXTENSION, MAUSER BANNER STOCK.MAUSERC96 1930 EXPERIMENTAL8205247.63 MAUSERMODERN; C&R; IMPORTCal. 7.63mm. Standard configuration M1930 Commercial with 5-1/4" bbl having fixed front sight and slip-in 50-1000 rear sight. Short extractor and universal safety. Usual chamber markings with serial number applied to the left side of the bbl extension. Left frame with large Mauser Banner. 3-line address on right side of frame. Broadly serrated walnut panels. No lanyard ring. All major and several minor parts salt blued. Fire blued extractor, bolt stop, trigger and grip screw. Accompanied by a precisely manufactured magazine extension, whose body is remarkably similar to a Schnellfeuer magazine, made to replace the follower/spring/floorplate assembly. Once the magazine extension, whose left surface is numbered "800" (no other markings present), is slipped into place, the pin from the left side may be withdrawn, allowing the follower to rise to its normal position. Manually depressing the follower allows the pin to be repositioned and the extension withdrawn. The pin is otherwise attached to the extension by a fine linked brass chain. This accessory is stored in a leather compartment with a lid snap that has been screwed to the right side of the Mauser Banner stock whose features are otherwise standard, including the fire blued looped hinge and the un-numbered square shoulder lug. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: Pistol retains approx. 90-95% orig salt blue with scattered freckling, particularly on the grip straps. Noticeable scratch on bottom of floorplate. Magazine extension with 98% blue. Bright bore with minor oxidation, strong rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. Excellent stock, with attached leather pouch, having single hairline crack, 3" in length, on bottom spine. Retains most orig varnish and scattering of superficial dings with expected patina on hinge and iron. An extremely impressive rig, particularly with the attached magazine extension. 49828-153 LMA (10,000-20,000)
