SPRINGBOK ARMS BREVEX MAGNUM MAUSER DANGEROUS GAME RIFLE IN .416 RIGBY. SPRINGBOK ARMS BOLT RIFLE 0011/1062 416 RIGBY MODERN Cal. 416 Rigby. 24-1/4" Heavy round bbl fitted with one standing, two folding leaf express rear sight in island base has short front ramp holding silver bead. Ramp is fitted with sight protector. Bbl also has Rigby style partially banded sling eye soldered on. Top of bbl is engraved ".416 R. By Springbok Arms, Salisbury" (Harare, Zimbabwe). SN is engraved at top rear. Typical magnum length Brevex Mauser action with rounded bridge and solid sidewall still retains flag safety, small knob bolt handle and single stage trigger. Bottom metal has hinged floorplate with retaining button in trigger guard bow. Nicely streaked European walnut composition capped pistol grip stock measures 14-3/4" over red Old English pad, and features shadow line right hand cheekpiece, two reinforcing pins through stock, point pattern checkering at grip and forend, and a vacant silver oval on toe line. Drop at heel: approx 2-7/8", drop at comb: approx 2-1/16". Cast: approx 1/2" off. Weight: 9 lbs. 14 oz. LOP: 14-3/4". CONDITION: Excellent. Rifle appears to retain over 95% of all orig factory finishes on wood and metal, with some nicks and scratches. Stock possibly has had some oil rubbed in as maintenance. Pad is new.
